Day 1
Arrival, Hiroshima
A quiet visit to the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. Evening at a backstreet okonomiyaki spot.
Day 2
Miyajima
The first ferry, ahead of the day-trip crowds. Itsukushima Shrine timed to the tide, the ropeway up Mt. Misen. A rare night on an island most people only see for an afternoon.
Day 3
Kurashiki
The canal-lined Bikan historical quarter, an indigo-dyeing studio visit.
Day 4
Departure
Transfer to Okayama or Hiroshima airport.
Day 1

Itsukushima Shrine, Mt. Misen, a night on the island.

On to Kurashiki

Izumo Taisha — one of Japan's oldest and most significant shrines.

Tottori Sand Dunes
The San'in coastline, a quiet walk along the dunes.
Day 6
On to Yamaguchi/Shimonoseki
The coastal torii of Motonosumi Inari, or Iwakuni's Kintai Bridge.
Day 7
Flex Day
A visit to Hagi's pottery village. Farewell dinner.
Day 8
Departure
Transfer to Hiroshima or Yamaguchi Ube airport.
